I had a reasonable start to my trip in Mandalay, but my experience towards the end was quite frustrating. The hotel was clean and the location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. However, the dining options were limited, and I was disappointed with the service when it came to arranging transportation. Overall, it was a value-for-money stay, but a few improvements could make a big difference.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was great, and the room was clean and functional, the service left something to be desired. I had some issues with booking and transportation which really impacted my overall satisfaction. The breakfast also lacked variety, which was disappointing during my stay.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were quite spacious with a nice city view, but I did notice a bit of a moldy smell upon entering. The staff members were polite, and they helped arrange transportation, which was a plus. However, the dining area felt cramped and I ended up waiting for a table during breakfast. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for something affordable in Mandalay, but it has its drawbacks.

The hotel is functional and well-maintained, with clean rooms and one of the best breakfasts I've had in Myanmar. However, the small breakfast room can make dining uncomfortable, and the staff's English proficiency varies which can be a challenge.

Rooms

The room was clean and reasonably sized, albeit a bit small for my liking.
Service

While the daytime staff struggled with English, the night team was more accommodating and helpful.
Location
7.0
Situated in Chinatown, the location was decent with a good nearby restaurant called 'Shan Ma Ma.' However, options for food in the immediate area were limited.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast had a good selection, especially local cuisine, but the small dining area made it less enjoyable.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has basic facilities, but nothing particularly impressive.

7.8/10

I had a great stay at this hotel, situated conveniently in the middle of vibrant Mandalay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I really appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast was ample, featuring mainly eastern-style options. However, the area can be a bit hectic for walking, and Wi-Fi was sometimes spotty. Overall, it was good value for money, especially with the free bicycles for rent.

Rooms
9.0
The room was large and very comfortable, equipped with a strong shower, fridge, and a flat-screen TV.
Service
7.0
The staff was attentive and always willing to assist, although they sometimes underestimated distances to attractions.
Location
8.0
Located centrally, it's close to the palace and numerous shops and eateries, though caution is needed when walking.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was enjoyable with a variety of eastern options, though it leaned heavily towards local tastes.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered free bicycles for exploring the city, which was a nice bonus for guests.
